Mr. Alexander is a highly accomplished and experienced Operations Executive specialized in hospital administration and healthcare operations in both not-for-profit as well as for-profit environments. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of our Hospital Management Division, Rennova Community Health.

Michael has over 30 years’ experience within the healthcare industry. Prior to his previous role as CEO of Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Mr. Alexander spent nearly 10 years as Hospital Administrator with Tanner Health Systems in Georgia, where he managed overall operations of two hospitals, a 25-bed joint commission-accredited Critical Access Hospital with over $98 million in revenue and over 22,000 ED visits per year, and a 40 bed facility in neighboring Alabama where he was able to turn around the operations of a struggling facility and lead the successful effort to build a new replacement hospital for the community. He also spent almost 10 years at Candler (Candler) County Hospital, Georgia where he was responsible for managing the overall day-to-day operations, performance, quality, and leadership of the facility.

Michael has also managed the operations of a physician staffing company as well as other hospitals. He has a proven record of success in cost control, performance improvement, government and community relations, facility design and construction and staff/budget management. Mr. Alexander has a B.S. in Psychology from Troy University, Troy, Alabama, and an M.S. in Community Counseling from Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia.

Carl J. Flanagan is the Sr. Director of Finance & Accounting at Rennova Community Health and oversees the finance and accounting departments at our Rennova owned Facilities. Carl has over 38 years of experience in the healthcare industry with expertise in small rural hospitals and healthcare reimbursements, and proven abilities in documentation, computer systems, contract negotiations, financial reporting and bank relationships. Carl holds a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) License in the State of Ohio.  In previous positions as CFO, Carl has provided overall direction, leadership, and administration to all fiscal functions for Rural Hospitals he’s been based in. Carl holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting, master’s degree in business administration, AAS in Computer Science and an AAS in Accounting.

Hal Leftwich is the Administrator of the Rennova Health Facilities - Big South Fork Medical Center and Jellico Medical Center. Dr. Hal Leftwich provides team building, operational and financial improvement, and strategic insights to organizations, with a focus on rural providers and network development.

He holds an earned Doctor of Business Administration, Master of Hospital and Health Administration, along with other degrees, and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Over 30 years of varied experience in leadership, planning, emergency response, organizational turnaround, and other areas help him effectively guide teams to develop effective innovative and collaborative solutions.

Cathal McGuckin is the Business Operations Manager of Rennova Health’s hospital division, with the responsibility of analyzing daily operations and focusing on process refinement, while looking for new areas of growth within the facilities in Tennessee.  With Cathal’s previous experience in business operations and inventory management, Cathal also manages the Materials Management functions in Rennova Health Facilities, with success in streamlining and centralizing processes within the departments. 

Prior to joining Rennova, Cathal worked as a Retail Store Manager managing a team of thirty five staff and overseeing the daily operations of the business.  Cathal was responsible for implementing new services to achieve overall company growth, leading to an increase in sales of 9% year on year.  Cathal’s previous position enabled him to heavily focus on the digitization of processes, providing full visibility of all departments for management.

Cathal holds a master’s degree in Business Development and Innovation, a Bachelor's Degree in Transport Planning and a Diploma in International Professional Practice from Ulster University, Northern Ireland.

Rebecca Lagan is Marketing Manager at Rennova Health, Inc., with the responsibility of all marketing activities of Rennova and its rural health facilities in Tennessee. Prior to joining Rennova, Rebecca worked as Marketing Manager overseeing the marketing activities of four companies operating within the retail, hospitality, construction and fuel distribution industries in Northern Ireland. Alongside this, Rebecca also worked as a Market Research Consultant for Ulster University, working closely with CTRIC (Clinical Translational Research and Innovation Centre) in the development of medical devices. Areas of market research included market analysis, consumer research, product development and refinement and the proposal of market entry strategies.

Rebecca holds a master’s degree in Marketing, bachelor's degree in Business with Computing and a diploma in International Professional Practice from Ulster University, Northern Ireland, where she was awarded with several awards for overall top performance.

Missy Tary is responsible for overseeing all human resource activities at Rennova Health owned facilities. Missy has over 15 years of experience in Human Resource Management in the healthcare industry and in her most recent position she managed human resource operations for seven locations. Missy specializes in streamlining recruitment and on-boarding processes, compliance strategies and implementing positive change across organizational boundaries to drive business success.

Missy’s key achievements from previous positions include reducing employee turnover rate by 47% through revamping the hiring and on-boarding process, securing success in accreditation surveys with zero human resources deficiencies and playing an integral role in enhancing the staff education completion rate by 41%. Missy holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Human Resource Management and is PHR and SHRM-CP certified.
